Embedded finance playbook: Implementation strategies for SaaS platforms

Over the last five years, software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms have grown increasingly specialised. Pizzerias use Slice, independent law firms use Clio, pool cleaners use Skimmer, and the list goes on. In nearly every vertical, platforms have won user loyalty by building custom features to meet highly differentiated business needs.
At the same time, SaaS platforms haven't yet captured the opportunity to build for a more universal business need: money management. Whether a business owner is launching a small music festival or a pool cleaning service, they need a way to accept payments. To grow their business, they likely need to access financing. As their business matures, they might need to accomplish even more financial tasks, such as managing funds and paying business expenses.
